For their production unit in Ghent, we are looking for a process engineer.

As process engineer, you are accountable for process development and optimization and some early process design. You will support plant operations to improve manufacturing quality, costs, productivity and flexibility. You support scaling up new products, serve as the lead on plant trails to optimize and characterize processes and products. 

As process engineer, you have the following responsibilities:

  • You provide support to operations to maintain safe, reliable and compliant operations for multiple catalyst manufacturing lines.
  • You are responsible for monitoring and reporting on plant operations relative to technical availability and percent capacity targets.
  • You will improve production quality, costs and production rates by establishing quality systems that includes the development of operational training, process documents, quality control tools and QA sampling protocol
  • Process engineering design services to early stage MOC’s will be provided.
  • Provide technical support on production schedule for different units based on process capability and customer requirements.
  • Manage new raw material qualifications in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Plan and support new product trial runs. 
  • Supports Project Engineer/Manager during the definition and execution phase as the appointed process engineer for selected projects


vos atouts

  • You are holding a master of science degree chemical. Other degrees are considered with relevant manufacturing experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in chemical, industrial or catalyst manufacturing is required.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and PLC controls are desirable. Knowledge of SAP, Aspen Tech and Siemens PCS is a plus.
  • Previous knowledge of catalyst manufacturing or solids handling and analytical methods is preferred.
  • You have excellent communications and organization skills.
  • You possess a continuous Improvement mindset to strive for year-to-year capacity improvements and energy/utility reductions.
  • You speak Dutch and English fluently.
  • You are able to travel as required for training and company business (< 10%)
  • Knowledge of Belgian, Flemish and local environmental regulations is desirable.
