As a logistics engineer, your analytical skills are your major asset. You like to study internal logistics processes and think about improvements. Our job is to design, handle and optimize the supply chain. The scope for Logistics Services includes making sure material is delivered to the production facilities, packaging is available, vehicles are distributed to the dealers, and that management of material, warehouses and distribution ensures the availability of parts everywhere in the world. We make sure all logistics services are delivered with world class operational excellence.
You design logistical process flows based on specifications and customer requirements. It is your job to define custom working methods based on thorough analyzes, taking into account Lean Manufacturing principles. You make the necessary time studies for this and also advise which tools should be used. You coordinate & optimize the flow of goods through which you make a concrete & visible contribution to improving the Key Performance Indicators of the organization (quality, productivity, direct runners, ...). From your logistics engineering expertise you actively participate in various work and project groups in order to optimize the physical flow of goods. You work from the philosophy of Lean Manufacturing.
You are preferably an engineer of training or equivalent through experience. You preferably already have a first relevant work experience. You are strong in analyzing and devising solutions. You have a strong communicative personality. You speak and write fluent Dutch and English. You are willing to work in a project environment and to travel occasionally. Domain: Management of production flows, the logistics chain (supply chain) The manufacturing plans taking into account the orders, the production requirements and unforeseen situations Monitor the implementation of the internal and subcontracted activities related to the handling of goods, storage and transport Organize circuits for the shipment of products to customers and coordinate the different actions Provide technical support to production, logistics, ...
