The purpose of this internship is to familiarize you with the J&J R&D environment and get a first experience in the healthcare business environment. You will be part of the Development Bioanalysis group within the Research & Development organization, meaning that you will work in a laboratory environment, with a focus on analytical chemistry. Primary focus of the internship will be the optimization / automation of the laboratory processes. This involves the operation / programming of lab robotics, and implementation of automated procedures in the daily workflow. In addition, you will become familiar with the analytical instrumentation used in our laboratory. As you will be challenged to implement new processes, you will need to work in close cooperation with the laboratory staff, be a team player and show strong communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity to explore and contribute to the research processes in a healthcare environment.
Primary Internship Goals: - Get familiar with the bioanalytical lab processes - Familiarize yourself with lab robotics - Improve / implement automated lab processes - Actively interact with bioanalytical staff to learn from their experience and expertise - Implement new / optimized procedures
- Candidate must be a highly motivated individual who wants to put his/her skills into practice to move our business forward - Bachelor or Master degree - Strong IT skills, affinity for robotics - When: Flexible starting dates between June and September 2018 - Duration: Minimum 3-6 months - Location: Janssen Pharmaceutica, Beerse
Requirement: The candidate must be a registered student during the course of the internship. Unfortunately, graduates that are currently not enrolled in a study program are not eligible for this internship.
