In the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak, the Adecco Group, Randstad and ManpowerGroup have published a brochure containing 110 possible measures for restarting the economy safely with minimal risk to public health. The ‘Safely back to work in the new normal’ brochure includes measures from five key sectors in twelve countries and regions. These three major HR organisations want this to inspire and help companies and governments adapt to the new normal.
110 measures to restart the economy safely
- temporary employment sector is the world’s largest private sector employer, and has global experience of working with Covid-19 measures
- brochure includes 110 measures from 5 sectors in 12 countries
- source of inspiration for transition to new normal at work
‘difference between a short recession and a long one’
The Adecco Group, Randstad and ManpowerGroup are joining forces internationally to share their knowledge and expertise about going back to work safely with minimal risk to public health. This is a crucial condition for restarting the economy in the short term. The labour market needs to adapt to the new normal very quickly with social distancing and other measures. The longer it takes for the economy to restart, the greater the risk of a long and deep recession.
The temporary employment sector is the world’s largest private sector employer and HR expert. This means we have lots of experience of Covid-19 measures introduced by governments and companies. We can therefore contribute to restarting the economy by sharing this knowledge and examples of good practices. Careful preparation will help get the economy started again faster and allow people to go back to work safely with minimal risk to public health, which could mean the difference between a short recession and a long one.
more than 400 measures from 12 countries
The brochure combines measures from five key sectors in twelve countries. These sectors and countries are very important for the global economy.
- sectors: transport & logistics, automotive, manufacturing & life sciences, construction, food.
- countries: Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, the Nordic countries, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.
Over 400 Covid-19 measures were listed in an initial phase. 110 measures remained after filtering, clearly set out over 23 pages. The measures are divided into five chapters: personal protective equipment, new work organisation, reducing exposure to risk, working at a different location, and eliminating the risk. There is more detail provided for each measure, e.g. about the sector and contents.
