The Connected Health Solutions & Operations vision is to improve the patient's experience and drive operational efficiencies in clinical trials by embedding connected health solutions and remote patient monitoring technologies in our clinical trials. CHS&O aims to support patients, sites and study teams in their efforts of participating in and running clinical trials by looking at the future while advancing our organization today.
In the department of CHS&O we currently have an internship position for user experience intern (m/f):
The Connected Health Solutions & Operations (CHS&O) user experience (UX) Intern will be responsible for performing a user experience analysis of the digital health solutions, eDevices and how they can optimally be implemented in a clinical trial from a participant's perspective. The intern will need to collaborate with the different functions within Development Management, Operations and Analytics (DMOA) such as, but not limited to, Clinical Insights & Experience and Janssen Clinical Innovation groups. This individual is passionate about digital solutions in healthcare, is familiar with user centered design methodologies and user experience.
Your contribution - Investigate and evaluate usage of digital health solutions with patients and sites, how they can be used in a clinical trial setting and how they compare to traditional solutions. - Provide recommendations how to use digital health tools in clinical trials with an optimal UX for a defined set of personas representing the different patient and site populations. - Collaboration with the Clinical Insights & Experience group and Janssen Clinical Innovation. - Collaboration with the Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) group & PRO managers in CHS&O with the link to validated scales vs. the digital health solutions. - Create proof-of-concept applications/mock-ups that will be used in the evaluation of the user experience.
Qualifications: - Master student - Knowledge of and passion for digital health technologies. - Knowledge of user centered design and user experience concepts. - Must have excellent communication skills. - Must have strong analytical skills. - Must have the ability to work independently, involving management when needed. - The ability to uncover underlying facts and complex relations in data is required.
