The business unit of which the quality manager forms a part, offers products, systems and solutions for different signaling projects in Belgium, especially for the Belgium Railway. In this context, they are responsable for the replacements of the old relays by new electronic interlocking systems and for the implementation of a highly safe and performing European Safety system. This project is supporting Infrabel in achieving their future challenges. This project consists of development phase followed by a roll out phase.

Our client is constantly developing new, intelligent mobility solutions that increase availability of infrastructure, optimize throughput and improve passenger experience.

The required quality support includes support for various quality-related topics in

the projects
like; document and requirement management, quality plans, Review

processes, …

 - you support the core project team with his knowledge on quality processes 

- you need to be able
to document the work in comprehensive documents (English)

- you will also
support the individual roll-out projects and their project managers with 
processes in place so that they are implemented in a correct way

- you propose improvements in processes and quality procedures and discuss this

with the project quality manager for the program.  These can be internal,
external or with the end 
customer.  So also customer contact and participation in
meetings on the relevant

topics are part
of the task scope

As quality manager, you report to the project quality manager.



           Project execution of the relevant
work packages (QM-tasks like reviews,

quality gate
organization, document management support, …).

           Analysis and evaluation of existing
quality system

           Improve or adapt quality-related
documentation (system design, detailed

connection drawings,

           Participates in meetings with the
client, on quality-related topics.

           Supports project teams as well as the
overall program management team

your contribution


  • Good
    knowledge of Quality management processes and ISO certification
  • you have a very good knowledge of English, spoken and written.  You communicate fluently in Dutch and French
  • Railway experience is an asset.
  • Experience in writing quality process
  • Basic knowledge of configuration management, document management and project management
  • you can work autonome, you take proactive
  • you can work in a complex environment .There are many different stakeholders on this project, some of them are located outside of Belgium
  • Good communication skillsyou are able to adapt your communication depending
    on the situation (with customer or i
    nternal in HQ), you are not afraid to
    ventilate your ideas within the project organisation
