job description

The successful candidate will be part of the Research and Development team creating unique ingredients for the food industry. The preferred candidate will be self-motivated, questioning, pay attention to detail and will enjoy the challenge of supporting projects from development on the bench through to pilot plant trials and then into a manufacturing environment

Essential duties and responsibilities:
-To support the Rereasch and Development team to create and develop new and innovative inclusions and sauces, which best match our customer briefs and expectations.
-To apply sensory and analytical understanding and technique into product evaluations interpreting the results and feeding them back to the project team with recommendations for next steps.
-To undertake raw material and product stability trials, using a range of analytical methodologies and report the results back to the team.
-To support the team in scale-up trials taking concepts from the Lab through to pilot plant trials and finally running initial manufacturing trials
- Working efficiently in cross-functional, multi-site technical project teams, the successful candidate will have the flair and desire to develop their technology and culinary skills to prepare great tasting products
- To contribute to the local, regional and global product libraries ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date and readily available.
- If required, the successful candidate will be able to complete an agreed and pre-defined project as part of their academic course.

your contribution

Required knowledge/experience:
-Bachelor degree in Food Science/technology is preferred
-Experience in the food industry, ideally in the Bakery, Confectionery or Dairy categories is preferred.
-Good people and communication skills, with written and oral English a must, along with ability to work within short time-frames, stay focused under pressure and translate results directly into new products which meet our customers requirements.
