job description

As a Document Controller you will undertake various functions related to document control, document archiving, document imaging and maintenance of document register for Construction and Engineering Projects.
¿receive and register client provided document or in-house generated document
¿control issuance of document numbers, including maintenance of proper document registers
¿ensure proper document classification, sorting, filing and proper archiving
¿maintain specifically assigned databases
¿review completeness of documentation and prepare document transmittals
¿prepare and maintain As-built files (AFC / ¿Approved for Construction¿), either for in-house use or for onward transmittal to client during project closeout
¿perform document quality check in accordance to company engineering document control procedures
¿perform file backup to ensure proper storage and archiving of electronic registers
¿prepare engineering project reports, as may be required

your contribution

¿minimum 3 years similar work experience (e.g. Administrative Assistant, Management Assistant, Office Assistant, Document Controller, etc.) preferably in an engineering, industrial or technical environment
¿proven organizational skills
¿very good knowledge of MS Office (knowledge of Visual FoxPro or any other Document Imaging System is an asset)
¿good command of written & spoken English (other languages are considered as a plus)
¿good communication and interpersonal skills
