Our client is a supplier of geographic information system software, web GIS and geodatabase management applications. The company is headquartered in the region of Brussels.

At present our client is creating a complete and solid sales department in order to accelerate its growth. Therefore they recruit different sales and business development profiles.

At present our client is looking for different candidates in the role of Business Development in:

- SAP
-
A(rchitecture) E(ngineering) C(onstruction)
- Utiliy
- Public sector

The role of business development is oriented towards detecting new markets and new customers, with a first focus on the region of Flanders.
He/she manages the different deals and opportunities by applying a great set of Rules of Engagement. These rules classify the different leads/opportunities and help the deal hunter to go through the different steps of the sales cycle. The business developer gives the right effort and focus to each step of the sales cycle.
He/She focuses on the business side of the deals and makes sure that he/she manages the many leads and opportunities in an efficient way. He/she stays in contact with the client and guides the client to a final sale. The business developer will also clearly classify the deals/opportunities in order to make sure that the company does not engage in a sales process that finally does not deliver a final revenue result. He/She is very flexible in his/her approach so that he/she can easily switch from one opportunity to another. Once that the customer has on-boarded, the customer will be handled by the Account Manager.

The business developer will report directly to the sales manager/CEO of the company.

The ideal candidate

  • Is ideally business degree qualified

  • Experienced business hunter with a proven track record in consultative software solution selling (between 3 to 6 years of sales work experience) is a must

  • Excellent Dutch and English skills, both written and verbal. Any additional language such as French is considered a plus. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • An analytic mind

  • You demonstrate organizational and entrepreneurial skills: result driven, problem solving mentality, self-motivator

  • You demonstrate integrity in the workplace

  • Maintain a positive and uplifting work environment by possessing an enthusiastic and energetic personality

  • Good business acumen

  • Knowledge and understanding of one of the following industries is a great plus but not required, GIS, public, utility, architectural, engineering and construction sector
