Those graduating or ending their studies in June or July are still allowed to work as a student during the summer holiday. After this holiday period, in other words after 30 September, you are no longer allowed to work as a student.

caution!

A holiday job with a student contract extends the wait for the National Employment Office (NEO), the so-called vocational development phase, by the duration of the holiday job. This is the period that school-leavers must cover before being entitled to an integration allowance.

Students terminating their studies prematurely during the course of the school year and signing up as a job-seeker are no longer allowed to work as a student.

You live in Brussels or the Walloon region

During this last school holiday you will also continue to receive child benefit, provided that you do not work more than 240 hours during the months of July, August and September.
