Your tasks: to develop and deliver the merchandising plan for given Local Brands: range assortment and range management that maximises category and business performance. You will be responsible for the categories activity and routes to market - sales reporting, range reviews, range assortment (routes to market), store range assortment, promotional plans, pricing and product file maintenance. Working collaboratively with other business units to drive sales and maximise profitability, you will work very closely with the vendor negotiation team to maximise profitability.
- Assortment Management/Range Selection: Manage assortment and range selection for defined brands across all channels and all countries. Interrogation of data to ensure the optimum range selection for all channels and countries. Undertaking regular review of given categories to optimise ranges in order to grow sales and margin. Delivery of new ranges and assortment reviews. Delivery of pricing strategy across all channels and countries. Develop category plans that detail the tactical execution of plans to achieve business set KPIs ..
- Promotional Management: Development and delivery of promotional plans for all channels and all countries. Review of promotional activity and implement learningsto improve promotional and margin performance. Work with the Data management team on forecasting for promotional activity.
-Own Brand opportities : Identify own brand areas for development if and where appropriate.
- Stock Management : To work with the supply chain teams to deliver the budgeted category year end stock number. Review all forecasts regularly with supply chain teams to ensure forecasts represent actual requirements. Responsible for the initial forecasts for all new lines
- You have strong commercial Retail Buying/Category management experience - Evidence of building or inputting into business wide strategies - Deep and detailed understanding of the market and customer drivers - Proven knowledge of product development and space planning optimisation - Proven track record of delivering results, continuously focusing on improvements - Strong evidence of commercial eye - through understanding market opportunities, maximising sales and profitability - Ability to analyse and interpret information, engaging other to make informed decisions, and deliver business focused solutions - Able to build effective relationships across all levels within an organisation, communicating with clarity and credibility - Evidence of working with suppliers, developing metrics, managing performance - Experience of adapting and leading teams through change, driving engagement and delivering results - Proven success in coaching, developing and progressing self and team members - Passion for the industry, products and the customer - Excellent verbal and written communication skills including IT proficiency
