Being part of Origin International Inc. since 2019, AQ NV will expand its activities in Europe. 

Based in Baltimore, MD, Origin International Inc. is a new generation environmental platform and one of the largest privately-owned used motor oil (“UMO”) recycler, storage and environmental services company in the U.S. with international operations. In addition to its operations at AQ, Origin International Inc. also has operations concentrated in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Texas for its UMO businesses. Your tasks and responsibilities will grow and evolve together with the needs of AQ NV. Being flexible and motivated to make this work, you detect needs from day to day, you prioritise, and you work on an operational, and later on a more strategical level. 

As an accounting manager, in the end, your responsibility is to oversee the accounting of European entities and to report accurately to the VP Finance in the US. 

Working in a company in full growth, your challenge is to continuously adapt structures and processes in order to keep working effectively. You will integrate accounting departments of acquired companies into existing processes. 

You will act as a true business partner, being involved in due diligence processes to support the M&A strategy in Europe. 

Gradually, you will build a team in Belgium and abroad, and you will manage this team through changes and growth. 

your contribution

You hold a degree in accounting or business economics. You have a broad experience in accounting, preferably in both an accounting firm as well as an internal accounting department in a private industry. You are able to work with different accountings standards (BE GAAP, US GAAP). A previous experience in an international organisation and/or an organisation growing through M&A is a strong plus. You have strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
