This role is to support the corporate accounting team for a period of 6 months during a period of exciting change technical accounting standards and acquisition of several M&A targets.
Responsibilities Support in M&A post integration: - Management of accounting due diligence process and support in integration for M&A target in the financial reporting process - Providing accounting policy guidance including consolidation, purchase price allocation, revenue recognition … - Manage preparation of technical accounting position memo’s - Support in the implementation of new technical accounting standards including IFRS 16, IFRS 15 and IFRS 9 - Preparation of calculations for various group accounting items to be recorded in the financial statements - Be Author of technical accounting papers to set out the key accounting considerations where required - Support ad hoc projects (strategic infrastructure projects, HR projects. .…)
Profile - A qualified accountant with significant qualified experience gained in the consolidation department of a large company or in practice - In-depth knowledge of IFRS and experience of interpreting and applying accounting standards, as well as experience of accounting for Merger and Acquisition scenarios, disposals and joint ventures - Strong communication skills, and the ability to clearly articulate complex technical matters to sometimes non-technical people - Proven project management skills
