We are seeking a Transportation Operations Specialist to strengthen our team in the Tessenderlo region. As an expert in transport operations, you will be responsible for delivering excellent performance in all assigned transport activities. The core mission is to satisfy the customer and ensure On Time in Full (OTIF) shipments, working closely with the Customer Service, Warehouse, and Supply Chain departments. Your focus will be on daily shipment planning, freight bill auditing, and carrier performance management to secure day-to-day activities and meet targets.

key responsibilities
- Invoicing and Cost Management: Auditing freight invoices, creating monthly transport invoices for customers, managing claims, and approving and monitoring transport costs and profitability.
- Planning and Coordination: Daily coordination of carriers' pick-up/delivery capacities based on customer forecasts and order profiles, and handling deviations.
- Transport Administration: Transport planning and booking of customer orders with different carriers, including load planning and slot booking via booking portals.
- Operational Management (TMS): Following up on shipment status, handling event notifications, managing exceptions in the system, and ensuring proactive communication and solutions.
- Performance and Reporting: Monitoring agreed-upon Carrier Service Levels and taking corrective measures in case of non-compliance. Generating relevant transport data and reports from the TMS system.
- Contacts: Close and continuous collaboration and communication with various internal and external stakeholders (e.g., carriers, customers, warehouse staff, and internal departments).
- Complaint Handling: Handling and resolving complaints.

- Expertise: You possess expertise in transport operations, focusing on efficient performance delivery.
- Collaboration: You are able to work in close cooperation with various internal and external stakeholders (Customer Service, Warehouse, Carriers, etc.).
- Focus Areas: You are adept at daily shipment planning, freight bill auditing, and carrier performance management.
- Problem Solving: You are capable of handling deviations and managing exceptions in the system.
