transportation and logistics specialist

Financial & Auditing Management:

• Audit incoming freight invoices for accuracy and process monthly transport invoices for customers.
• Manage freight cost claims, approvals, and payments, ensuring follow-up on profitability.

Operations & Planning:

• Handle daily shipment planning and booking of customer orders with various carriers.
• Coordinate daily pick-up and delivery capacities of carriers based on customer forecast and order profiles, managing any deviations.
• Execute load planning and slot booking via dedicated booking portals.

Carrier & Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor agreed Carrier Service Levels (SLAs) and implement corrective measures when non-compliance occurs.
• Generate relevant transport data and performance reports from the Transport Management System (TMS).
• Manage overall carrier performance.

Exception & Stakeholder Handling:

• Manage event management and exception handling within the TMS, including follow-up on shipment status transmission and handling event notifications.
• Ensure proactive communication and solutions for exceptions, including managing reason codes in the system for accurate reporting.
• Handle customer and carrier complaints.
• Maintain close cooperation and permanent communication with various internal and external stakeholders (e.g., carrier, customer, warehouse staff, and other departments).

Education & Experience:

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business/Logistics, Engineering/Transportation, or equivalent.
• Require a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience within a Transportation or Logistics environment.
• Demonstrate a strong focus on Freight Bill Auditing and Carrier Performance Management.
• Must have advanced knowledge of Transport Management principles and analysis.

• Experience in using Transport Management Systems (TMS) is considered a valuable asset.
