reliability engineer

As a reliability engineer (or component engineer), you will work closely with the process owner and reliability engineers from other departments. In particular, you will be responsible for : 

• Monitor component ageing and reliability using performance indicators (scorecard). Analyze the health of component sub-families according to defined standards. 
• Solve problems highlighted by ageing and reliability monitoring.
• Develop and maintain the technical expertise of the component families/sub-families assigned to you.
• Define and maintain maintenance strategies by equipment family/sub-family, and develop them in line with feedback and monitoring.
• You manage the life cycle of the preventive maintenance program and ensure that regulatory requirements are translated and maintained in maintenance plans and procedures.
• You ensure that equipment qualification requirements are translated and maintained in maintenance plans and procedures. Validate recommendation notes.
• You identify and anticipate equipment obsolescence problems. You participate in the expertise triangle and contribute to defining the strategy for resolving these problems (equivalence analyses, commercial grade dedication, reverse engineering, etc.).
• You analyze the causes of reworks on components and propose actions to avoid their recurrence.

• You are a mechanical, electrical, electromechanical or industrial reliability engineer or equivalent
• You have at least 5 years' experience in a medium/large-scale industrial environment
• You have developed skills in component reliability analysis
• You have a good knowledge of English (Dutch is an asset) 
• You have a good command of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access). Knowledge of ERP (such as SAP) is an asset.

If, in addition to these aspects, you have experience in the nuclear sector, this is a serious advantage. 

Contract: consultancy via Randstad Professionals (freelance or employee) 

Work schedule: full-time (40h/week with 12 days off/year)

Salary/rate: to be discussed depending on experience
