pld formulation scientist - contractor role

As a PLD Formulation Scientist, you will contribute to the development of groundbreaking parenteral and liquid drug product formulations and processes across our R&D Synthetics portfolio (small molecules, peptides, oligonucleotides), from late Discovery to Commercialization. This portfolio covers a variety of formulation types such as solutions, (nano)suspensions, liposomes, lipid-based systems, and biodegradable microspheres and injectable biodegradable rods. You will also contribute hands-on to manufacturing and process optimization for upscaling and technology transfer to support clinical trial manufacturing.

• Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Performing formulation and process development activities for innovative parenteral and liquid dosage forms.

  • Designing formulations, performing hands-on laboratory work, and capturing results in an electronic lab notebook and reports.

  • Developing technical and scientific expertise, searching academic and patent literature, and translating new ideas into patient-centric solutions.

  • Providing input for master batch records for clinical batches and contributing to the definition of control strategies.

  • Supporting regulatory documentation and providing scientific responses to inquiries from regulatory authorities.

  • Collaborating with various internal and external partners, such as CDMOs, throughout the development process.
