Are you the technical specialist with the precision and passion required to build complex agricultural machines from start to finish?

As an Assembly Technician or Mechanical Fitter, you will join the final assembly teams for our impressive harvesting machines at the facility near Roeselare. You will work across various assembly lines, with a strong focus on the continuously growing line for the 4-row (self-propelled) potato harvesters. In a close-knit and specialized team, you are the crucial link that transforms mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components into a fully finished, operational machine. This role is versatile and, depending on your knowledge and willingness to learn, offers challenges in both pre-assembly (hoopers, gearboxes, sieve chains) and final assembly, where you completely build, adjust, and commission the machines.

key responsibilities
- Pre-Assembly: Mechanical fitting and assembly of large components such as gearboxes, hoppers, axles, and sieve chains.
- Final Assembly: Full completion, adjustment, and startup of machines on the specific assembly lines (self-propelled, trailed, or mounted machines).
- Electrical Work: Assembling and precisely laying wiring harnesses onto the chassis according to electrical schematics.
- Rotation: You will rotate through various installation and construction tasks: mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical.
- Quality Assurance: You are responsible for delivering high-quality work and ensuring safety throughout the entire installation and building process.

qualification
- Education & Experience: Preferably, you have completed a technical education (e.g., mechanics, electromechanics, or equivalent through experience).
- Relevant Experience: You ideally have relevant experience as a Fitter, Technician, or Assembly Mechanic in an industrial environment.
- Technical Acumen: You possess a solid understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and plans for both mechanical and electrical construction.
- Skills: You are able to operate an overhead crane safely and proficiently.
- Language: You speak English and/or Dutch very well.
- Mindset: You are eager to learn, meticulous, and consistently strive for safe and quality-focused work.
