laboratory support technician

• Receive, unpack, store, and ship materials and packages related to lab and project activities.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in fridges (lab fridge, cider fridge, B05 fridge) and support 5S implementation.
• Improve fridge labelling and organization systems to enable clear and safe storage.
• Assist in the upkeep of lab infrastructure: support maintenance, equipment calibration, and utility/product ordering.
• Support the production of beverage prototypes for internal and external evaluation.
• Conduct basic physico-chemical analyses of prototypes in accordance with standard procedures.
• Organize and document sensory evaluations and project-related taste panels.
• Assist in the organization of Innovation & Technology Program (ITP) tastings.
• Upload sensory data into the internal Sensory Database.

• Professional Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biological/Pharmacological/Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent, (preferably UCLL, AP Hogeschool, Karel de Grote Hogeschool, or equivalent).
• Recently graduated or in final stages of study, with availability during the project period.
• Interest in food, beverage or fermentation-related lab work is a strong plus.
• Availability for 3 days per week:
• June–Decemberr: ±3 days/week
• Fluent in English (written/spoken); other languages are a plus.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a hands-on mentality.
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for lab space and equipment.
• Team player who can adapt to a dynamic, project-based environment.
• Comfortable with basic laboratory practices and procedures.
• Motivated to contribute to innovation in non-traditional beverage categories.
