The Global Category Manager drives the procurement strategy for outsourced R&D activities. He/She develops and implements sourcing strategies, negotiates with suppliers, and ensures value creation in terms of quality, cost, innovation, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the assigned R&D portfolio.

• Conduct market analyses, identify new partners, and contribute to sustainability initiatives.

• Lead tenders, commercial negotiations, and framework agreements.

• Manage relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure quality, continuity, and innovation.

• Advise internal stakeholders on supplier management, market insights, and procurement best practices.

• Track savings, performance indicators, and activity-related reports.

• Ensure compliance with GxP requirements, international regulations, and applicable guidelines.

• Promote ethics, transparency, and adherence to internal and external compliance standards.

• University degree (Master’s degree preferred).

• Proven experience in procurement/purchasing, ideally in an R&D, regulatory, or medical environment.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector is a strong asset.

• Strong skills in negotiation, complex contract management, and project management.

• Good knowledge of GxP and regulatory environments.

• Strong analytical skills and understanding of international markets.

• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
