      • key responsibilities

        Consolidation planning & execution

        • Participate in the preparation of the monthly consolidated financial statements of the international group (approximately 140 entities).
        • Request, check, and critically challenge the financial figures of the various entities.
        • Guide and support local accountants in submitting their figures timely and correctly to the consolidation team.
        • Monitor strict group deadlines and check the input coming from bookkeepers, including providing feedback on required corrections.
        • Follow up on and control the consolidation flows at the group level, such as fixed assets.
        • Identify and proactively resolve any material discrepancies or errors in the consolidation process.

        Financial statement analysis, reporting & audit

        • Analyse and consolidate financial statements from multiple entities, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other relevant financial data.
        • Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (such as IFRS or GAAP).
        • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company reporting standards.
        • Participate in collecting all requested input for the external audit and work together with the team to ensure a clean audit opinion on the consolidated statements.

        Risk management & process improvement

        • Identify and assess potential risks associated with the consolidation process, including accounting errors, control weaknesses, and material misstatements.
        • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses.
        • Analyse and optimize the consolidation process to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
        • Implement and optimize automation tools to reduce manual intervention, simplify reporting procedures, and enhance data integrity.

        Stakeholder management

        • Communicate effectively and clearly with senior management, local finance teams, and external auditors.
        • Respond to inquiries and provide clear explanations on complex consolidation issues.
