As Test Development Engineer, you are part of the Test Bench Development Team that is responsible for developing, controlling and maintaining test benches in the test lab and production globally. You implement and validate new software needed in the test lab and production environment, where we develop and produce high-tech transmissions. Together with your colleagues, you write scripts for build- & test automation, validate them through analysis and maintain the new framework/platform (LabView, Matlab, Simulink,…). You will support lab and production testing and validation globally on the three sites of the company (Belgium, US and Mexico).
Our ideal Test Development Engineer has the following profile: > Bachelor/Master degree in electronics/electrical engineering/mechanics. > A first experience in mechatronics (mechanics, electronics, informatics and even hydraulics), preferably in automotive industry and/or testing environment. > Affinity or experience for process development (in manufacturing environment is a plus). > Knowledge of control theory and automation. > Ability to understand software structure as used in programs such as TestSTand, VeriStand, LabVIEW, etc. > Travel up to 75% of working time. > Detailed and structured (including strong problem analysis skills). > You are fluent in English.
