The mechanical design engineer designs in collaboration with the industrialization and process engineers the production tools and tooling's used to manufacture a product and reach the requested quality and efficiency levels.

Tasks:

• Define the principle of the tooling and tools,
• Design on CAD (Solidworks) the requested equipment’s,
• Checks the adequation of the design with industrialization, production and quality responsible,
• Ensure that the best practices of Lean Manufacturing are applied
• Save the drawings on the requested form (Iges / DWG) on the requested supports (tooling data base),
• Exchange the CAD data’s with suppliers and comment if necessary,
• Applies the post-processing for internal 3D printed parts and POC’s,
• Stay in a continuous improvement mind-set,
• Is involved in the application of engineering changes

Profile:

• The candidate shall have a first background mechanical / Electro-mechanical / industry (Manufacturing / Assembling)
• Experience in 3D CAD
• A background in manufacturing and Industry is a strong asset,
• Fluency in Dutch or French and English are mandatory.
• Curious, creative
• Structured, rigorous, quick-thinking and responsive are other key strengths
