• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronic, computer, or electromechanical engineering
• You have 3+ years of experience in FPGA or ASIC development
• Advanced knowledge of VHDL, Verilog is a plus
• Working knowledge of programming languages (C/C++, Python, ...)
• Knowledge of simulation tools necessary for the verification of VHDL code, like Modelsim, QuestaSim, Cadence, ...
• Advanced knowledge in timing analysis
• Experience in FPGA architecture design, including microprocessor softcore (Nios, Microblaze, RISC-V), hybrid (Zynq, ARM, MIPS ...), and including the main internal buses (AMBA, Avalon, ...)
• Operational knowledge of hardware electronics
• Knowledge in signal processing (algorithms, DSP,...)
• You are fluent in English, any other language is a plus

You are responsible for the following tasks:

• Support the Project Engineering Manager in writing the project requirements specification
• Translate the architecture into VHDL language according to the requirements specification (HwPCRS) and safety requirements (PCHA)
• Simulate and verify the new blocks and their integration into the new architecture
• Write the Programmable Component Delivery Note (HwPCRN)
• Simulate and verify the Toplevel architecture by means of scenarios covering the maximum functional and security requirements
• Propose and implement the use of softcore (IP, embedded processors)
• Support the software development and hardware design teams in which the programmable component is inserted
