Work accidents
Any accident involving a physical injury, however slight, must be reported to the Randstad consultant.

The following information is important:

  • place, date and time of accident
  • description of what happened and why
  • injuries incurred
  • identity of the person at the company who can give additional information
  • name and address of witnesses.

For medical treatment, the victim should see a doctor. Note: the workplace should never be left without telling someone first.

The temporary worker should give the Randstad consultant documentation as proof of any expenses incurred as a result of the accident. As an employer, Randstad has insurance against the financial consequences of work accidents or accidents on the way to or from the workplace. This means that the temporary worker is covered against loss of income and does not have to pay any medical costs.

Accidents on the way to/from work
The same steps should be taken as for an accident in the workplace. It is also advisable to have the federal police make an official report of any traffic accident. Two witness statements may also be taken down. Do not forget to make a note of the witnesses’ names and addresses.
