In 2004, the Randstad Group entered into a worldwide partnership with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO), the international development organisation.
VSO offers help to developing countries by selecting and supplying workers with specialist skills. VSO puts applicants through a thorough selection process, including an assessment, before sending them out to share their knowledge and skills with local organisations. This way, they help to combat poverty by promoting education, tackling HIV and so on. Their contribution is sustainable, as their knowledge is preserved in the local organization, even after their departure.

The VSO project is one of the possibilities that Randstad offers both its own and external workers for enhancing their career, passing on their expertise and enjoying a very special work and life experience!

Are you a genuine specialist in your profession, with plenty of practical experience? Are you interested and/or experienced in the field of development aid? Looking for something out of the ordinary? Then a job as a VSO volunteer may be just what you're looking for!

VSO is always in search of professionals in the fields of healthcare, social/welfare services, business, management & IT, engineering, agriculture, etc. The basic requirements are:

• age between 23 and 68;
• willingness to work overseas for 2 years for a local salary;
• possession of a higher education or university qualification and a minimum of 2 years work experience;
• experience or serious interest in development aid;
• satisfactory knowledge of English.
