history
Randstad in Belgium over the years
The temporary employment agency Randstad Uitzendbureau originated in the Netherlands in 1960. We also set up business in Belgium in 1965, under the name Interlabor Interim. The Randstad brandname was introduced in 1970.
Randstad performed outstandingly on the Belgian market. Interlabor gained a 22% market share, making it the market leader. Randstad gained a 6% share.
For the sake of closer collaboration and so as to trade under a single flag, just as in the rest of the world, Interlabor and Randstad became a single company in 1999: Randstad Belgium. A name that stands for more than just agency-supplied temporary employment.
In response to customer demand and market conditions, Randstad is increasingly developing into a fully-fledged service provider in the area of human resources. We provide recruitment and selection, career advice, training, in-house services, specific HR projects and numerous other services. As a result, as well as being an all-round expert in the area of work, we also provide businesses and temporary workers with tailor-made services which match their requirements exactly.
